Foreclosures rose about 45 per cent across Wisconsin in January,

compared with a year earlier as problems in the economy and mortgage markets continued to rise, according to data scheduled to be released today.

In Milwaukee County, foreclosures were up about half again as much, and in Dane County, with the major city of Madison, they were up 80 per cent, according to the data compiled by Milwaukee based Foreclosures Company.

Although bad these numbers aren't as terrible as the forelcosure numbers in Miami and Tampa FL.

Many expect foreclosures to remain at escalated levels well into 2008, and beyond, with some experts not predicting a housing market recovery until 2010 too 2012 said Charles Carpenter, Foreclosure-Disclosure.com company president.
